Be sure you put your feet in the right, then stand firm. -Abraham Lincoln
In many facets of our lives, in our ways of being, we may not have ideal concepts, opinions, and beliefs in our way of operating or the example we set for others.
Considering we may not be aware of our misguidedness or lack of proper understanding of these things, would fortitude and willingness to hold true to ourselves in what we think is right and good be a barrier to changing?
What if this change could save our job, our marriage, save our life?
There are things we aren’t aware of, and because we aren’t aware that we aren’t aware of them they are difficult to identify.
You can do this by being open to feedback from others, by doing research and seeking the truth with your heart.
Once we arrive at the unobfuscated truth then we can plant our feet. Standing firm in our feelings, beliefs, stances by calling out injustices and speaking up for those who haven’t yet found their voices
Becoming that person for another, creating the ability to provide feedback and weaving a convincingly authentic platform that will open the mind is something we can all aspire to.
There will always be harbingers after us to come back to our old way of thinking or bring us down another misguided path. As we don’t give an inch, holding our ground, we will be valiant and invincible to malevolence and our glory may even sway them into joining the side of light.
