“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” -Dalai Lama

This is perhaps one of the most powerful quotes of all time, wisdom at its finest. The way we as humans allow ourselves to perceive and treat others manifests in our choices of actions and the emotions we hold and let swirl around our minds.

If we burn with the flame of compassion we are kind and gentle and have a strong connection with our emotions as well as a deeper capacity for emotional regulation.

This allows us to feel good about ourselves, that we are good people and allows others to feel good about themselves because they are liked and accepted which helps them to feel good about themselves.

Create the possibility to swim in the sea of happiness, disinvite the tendrils of negativity and pessimism from your reality. You being a beacon of compassion attracts others to this practice.

It’s never too late to chisel away the hardening of your heart and fill it with a never ending deep richness of love.

“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”
